In defence of Peter March

A friend has placed himself at the centre of the Mohamed cartoon controversy. His name is Peter March and he teaches philosophy at Saint Mary's University in Halifax. It is apparent to me that our "impartial" "non-partisan" but highly politically correct news media is sort of hoping that Peter will get some sort of Zundel style comeuppance for this. After all, that would make more interesting news than the relatively non-event of a university professor of philosophy doing what that sort of person has been doing since the time of Socrates.
News media actually began with Guttenberg. Mass... (more)

Iknow my approach is contorversial

I know my approach is controversial, even among my brother activists. I will attempt to explain why I do and say what I do.

At the nadar of my life, the winter of 1975, I found myself, by hard circumstance, down and out on the streets of Hamilton Ontario. It was one of the hardest winters in southern Ontario's history. By a long chain of events beyond my power or control, I found myself in the company of a "grifter"...an underworld low life who lived by playing out cons and stings on "unsuspecting"people.

As I watched him play out his "schtook" on people I was at first astounded at... (more)

I Am Thankful

This Thanksgiving weekend, I am thankful for men. Yes, men. Despite all the bashing and hatred we endure, I am grateful that we men walk the planet. While we have not yet fully manifested our perfection--we are unfolding works in progress--we contain that perfection and have nothing to be ashamed of.

This weekend, as we remember and cultivate gratitude for the blessings in our lives, let us remember that men and boys and the energy of masculinity are indeed blessings. Let us celebrate all of them and enjoy them.

Peace to you and all beings everywhere.

Back in the late eighties, I did some photo shoots with a "punk" band. I still occasionally bump into some of these people, and their lifestyle has changed. They still have the pictures I took as part of their own personal diaries. As I have spoken of before, it's about "quality". I did not photograph them in any way that was trendy, or "tribute" to their short lived cultural anomaly. I took the photographs according to standards of quality that are as old as photography itself. The master Ansel Adams quite literally “wrote the book” on what photographic quality is. The people who I have... (more)

On February 27th 2005 a brother author posted on this blog the folowing post:
I'm Tired [Edit]
Years ago, a man named L. Neil Smith gave a speech. I’m going to blatantly appropriate his look and feel.

We are subjected daily to propaganda about what scum we men are. Imagine if you will for a moment that you have a story about a cheating spouse; this spouse waits until their significant other is out of town with the children, and has days of hot sex with a total stranger. If this character were a man it would be another tale of many about male meanness, selfishness and... (more)

I could argue and scoff a little at his buying into "the Illuminati"conspiracy theory...in fact I have my own conspiracy theory about conspiracy theories....but other than that....this site does my heart good.

I have tried...Lord knows I have tried to be the feminist anti-Christ...especially here in Canada. SOW Canada clearly hates J Kirby Inwood and Ken Weibe more thanthey hate me.....now this......I... (more)

Sachs vs Drexler

Glenn Sach’s latest campaign concerns the release of a new book.

“My latest column, Are Boys Really Better off Without Fathers? (San Francisco Chronicle, 8/31/05), criticizes Peggy Drexler's new book Raising Boys Without Men: How Maverick Moms Are Creating the Next Generation of Exceptional Men. In it Drexler asserts that father-absent homes--particularly "single mother by choice" and lesbian homes--are the best environments for boys.
In the column I pointed out the flaws in Drexler's work and warned that if her research remains unchallenged, it could become the underpinnings of a new... (more)

Going your own way....physically

I am going to talk about going your own way, actually, physically, really, no shit, doing it. This is the product of a lot of research. I have given up on any hope of Canada coming to it’s senses in the next five years. I turned fifty five this summer, and the first time a femi- nazi rubbed my nose it for no good reason other than that I was male (which in and of itself is not a lawful or legitimate women’s issue and if you doubt me ask your lawyer) and that makes forty years of it. I have gone far beyond fed up. Excuse me a moment….I have been forced to transpose this piece into another... (more)

I have been told...

I have been told

That to respect women is to put them on a pedestal, and

That to put them on a pedestal is to imprison them.

Yet my only desire was to respect, honor, and love all my fellow beings.
I have been told

That men have caused all the world's woes,

That men kill, rape, and plunder, and

That men are even destroying the earth itself.

Yet I know in my heart that my brothers and I

Sacrifice, build, serve, create, love, and protect.
I have been told

That women earn only 73 cents for every dollar men earn.

Along that line, I have been told that "statistics don't... (more)
